IB175 Hello Baby Flowers

paper hugs from the heart ♥ week twenty

We are back with a new challenge this week @ IB card challenges.

I was inspired by the rug, colors, flowers and large scripty sentiment

Good Luck card
To create the "rug" I cut a wonky rectangle and "watercolored" it and a block of paper to cut my sentiment outline.  I used Catherine Pooler Tutti Frutti and Seafoam and loved the results.  I inked up a piece of acetate and then sprayed it with water and began painting on watercolor cardstock.  When it was dry, I die-cut the sentiment outline and layered it with my scripty "good", then cut "luck from the remaining pieces.  I then stamped and layered my Flower Market Bouquet Stamps from The Greetery

And here's the sketch this week, inspired by the photo inspiration.

IB174 Orange You Lemonade

paper hugs from the heart ♥ week nineteen

We are back with a new challenge this week @ IB card challenges.

I was inspired by the colors, fruit, and a sweet sentiment!

You're the Sweetest card

I stamped each of the sliced fruits in Papertrey Ink Soft Stone before stamping with my yellow and pink.  I liked the contrast it gives the fruit.  To create my sentiment, I stamped a tag using Papertrey Ink Fresh Snow onto black cardstock.  Once it had dried for a minute, I added the sentiment using Papertrey Ink Smokey Shadow.

And here's the sketch this week, inspired by the photo inspiration.

IB173 Celebrate Her

paper hugs from the heart ♥ week eighteen

We are back with a new challenge this week @ IB card challenges.

I was inspired by the colors, flowers, theme, and sketch this week!

For You Mom

I fell in love with the new release over @ The Greetery this month.  The Spring Market Collection is filled with baskets, hands, flowers, and sentiments, I love it all.  I chose to use the Flower Market Bouquet and Market Baskets Die for my first card. I die-cut a large polka dot panel for the background to reflect the circle in the photo inspiration.

I love that you can stamp and die-cut the main bouquet and individual elements to layer in the bouquet.  And these baskets?  Three sizes? All the elements to create the cutest baskets, linings, and labels, it's all perfect and so fun!

And here's the sketch this week, inspired by the photo inspiration.

For You card

I created this card, inspired by the sketch (except I moved the sentiment below) using the Holding Hands Stamp and Die set.  So fun!  There's even a nail polish stamp, bracelet die, it's all too fun!
