TTTC100 it's your day

Good morning!  I was really excited to come across the challenge @ Tic Tac Toe challenges because several of the rows connect to yellow and yellow has always been one of the colors I haven't reached for often.  I don't know why because I really love the results and happiness I feel when creating with it and so I need to work on my hesitation.

I chose the left top diagonal down: yellow, free and gingham

I stamped my gingham using The Stamp Market Just Checkin In stamp set (discontinued) and Memento Rose Bud stamp pad.

I stamped the flowers and sentiment using Ink to Paper Birthday Bouquet stamps and dies.

Thank you for stopping by and letting me share today.

pretty as a pitcher

paper hugs from the heart ♥ week six

We are back with a new challenge this week @ IB card challenges.

Get Well Soon card

I was inspired by the vase, colors, flowers,
theme, and sketch.

To create my vase, I stamped layered flowers onto vellum and heat embossed them.  I then layered the pitcher over ink blended cardstock.

And here's the sketch this week, inspired by the photo inspiration.

krafty love

paper hugs from the heart ♥ week five

We are back with a new challenge this week @ IB card challenges.

Hello Love card

I was inspired by the petite flowers, colors, kraft,
hearts, love theme, and sketch.
I wanted to create and focus on the petite flowers (embossed), with a split design.  I love the look of these colors and kraft together.  The "Hello Love" is stamped in kraft color and heat embossed so there is a shine to the quote bubbles.

And here's the sketch this week, inspired by the photo inspiration.

You Make Me Happy card

I created the background using embossing powders, dry embossed the circles onto vellum, and then heat embossed.  The flowers were stamped in Distress Ink Antique Linen and then I used my pencils to color them.

Sent with Love card

I loved the beautiful bird and decided to create the
bird the same color as the splatters.

And here's the sketch this week, inspired by the photo inspiration.

heartfelt thanks

paper hugs from the heart ♥ week three

We are back with a new challenge this week @ IB card challenges.

This week, I was inspired by the

hearts, gingham, woodgrain, sketch, texture

To create my heart, I die cut and layered leaves from my Ink to Paper Birthday Bouquet die set and shaped them into a heart.

And here's the sketch this week, inspired by the photo inspiration.

I was inspired to create hearts with candy hearts to create a "sweet" feel to the card so that the card can be used for any thank you occasion.

the male room #146 animals

I wanted to play with the newest challenge over @ The Male Room because I am out of masculine cards, and that is not good in this house of boys.  The challenge gave me an excuse to go looking for masculine animals for masculine cards...wink.

hello card

I haven't inked up this super cool steer skull from Jen Hadfield Simple Life Homemade stamp set, and I am so thankful for the challenge to push me to do so.  I created my background using strips of kraft cardstock and then distressed the card using Distress Ink Frayed burlap.  I distressed the card two times, allowing for a short drying time between as I stamped the steer skull.  I stamped the skull using Colorbox Ink Wheat, then masked off the horns with washi and stamped the skull again using The Stamp Market Island Ink.  I stamped the image two times with the Island ink and am very pleased with the contrast, so beautiful.

I was inspired to create another card using another stamp from the set: the rooster.
This card was fun to heat emboss and ink-smoosh.
I started by ink smooshing the diecut scallop frame from Pinkfresh Studio so it could be drying.  I then diecut a block of kraft cardstock using the same Pinkfresh scallop circle die and stamped the star from the same Jen Hadfield stamp set using Papertrey Ink Fresh Snow and heat embossed it.  The rooster was stamped in Colorbox Wheat and raised with mounting dots.  To layer the scalloped circles, I cut the smooshed one in half and then took a little off each side so that it could frame the rooster.

Thank you for stopping by, this was such a fun challenge.

You Are Something Wonderful Card

We are back with a new challenge this week @ IB card challenges and welcoming two incredibly talented designers to the team! There is so much to be inspired by in the photo, and it was fun to try to narrow down some ideas.  I can't wait to see the gallery this week, with all the talented designers, it's sure to be inspiring!

This week,
 I was inspired by the

rows of flowers, colors, sketch, and theme

To create my background, I used The Greetery Square Dance stencil and then framed it using Pinkfresh stitched scallop rectangle dies, and added The Stamp Market Just Wonderful stamps for my sentiment.

I was also inspired to create this card using the same stencil and another of the stamps in the Just Wonderful set.

You are Wonderful Yes, You card

And here's the sketch this week, inspired by the photo inspiration.

You are Some Kind of Wonderful notecards

I used watercolor paper, stamped the images onto the paper, repeating the inking until the desired shade using my Misti, and then I used my dabber blender to add water to the stamp and stamped the watered stamp on top of each stamped image on the card until it the ink spread.
