IB 157 everything is a-bouquet

paper hugs from the heart ♥ week two

You Are Something Wonderful Card

We are back with a new challenge this week @ IB card challenges and welcoming two incredibly talented designers to the team! There is so much to be inspired by in the photo, and it was fun to try to narrow down some ideas.  I can't wait to see the gallery this week, with all the talented designers, it's sure to be inspiring!

This week,
 I was inspired by the

rows of flowers, colors, sketch, and theme

To create my background, I used The Greetery Square Dance stencil and then framed it using Pinkfresh stitched scallop rectangle dies, and added The Stamp Market Just Wonderful stamps for my sentiment.

I was also inspired to create this card using the same stencil and another of the stamps in the Just Wonderful set.

You are Wonderful Yes, You card

And here's the sketch this week, inspired by the photo inspiration.

You are Some Kind of Wonderful notecards

I used watercolor paper, stamped the images onto the paper, repeating the inking until the desired shade using my Misti, and then I used my dabber blender to add water to the stamp and stamped the watered stamp on top of each stamped image on the card until it the ink spread.

i just love you coffee

I love creating coffee cards in traditional Valentine colors.  I think it looks like a coffee date to enjoy your favorite pastry and cup of coffee with a loved one or friend, which is one of my most favorite things to share.

i just love you coffee card
I created my coffee card inspired by the January 2021 Challenge to use patterned paper on your card.  I used a piece of gingham and have diecut it with Pinkfresh Essentials inverted stitched scallop circles.

Thank you so much for stopping by, this was a really fun challenge to create a coffee card I needed to mail out.

I love you--Fusion

Good morning.  I am back with a card for the current challenge over at Fusion Card challenge.  This is a new-to-me challenge this year, but I saw this fun photo and wanted to play along.

I was inspired by the sketch and my need to create Valentine cards..smile. I saw the the two patterned strips as an opportunity to create my own patterned paper using stamps and contrast between the two with a die-cut strip.

I stamped white onto kraft using Papertrey Ink Fresh Snow and then stamped the coupon using Memento Rose Bud over the white coupon background to create my patterned block.  The heart focal was created using an old rubber heart stamp.  I stamped it using the Papertrey Ink Fresh Snow, and then used my ink blender to ink Memento Rose Bud over the top to fill in the heart.  Once this dried for a few minutes, I stamped rubber stamp over the image again to bring the white forward.

I die cut the frame using Pinkfresh Essentials inverted stitched scallop circles.

i love tags snow much (updated)

I loved making these tags and the challenge was perfect to finish some gifts.  This challenge was so fun and really helped jumpstart the process to coordinate my gifts, a win!  And today, I read that one of my tags created for the challenge was selected as designer’s choice, which means that I will have an opportunity to create alongside the designers for an upcoming challenge, how cool is that opportunity?  Thank you for selecting one of my tags, I look forward to the challenge and fun!

I love tags, handmade tags, big or small, round, square, scalloped, shaped...I love them all.  I think a gift that has a handmade tag feels the same as a handmade card in the mailbox, special and thoughtful.  Every year, I try to create as many tags for our gifts as I can find the time, and this year, with all of the time at home, I've been creating quite a few and it's fun wrapping gifts!

I needed some tags for some packages and wanted to create some snowman tags to coordinate with the wrap and the gifts.  I checked out a few of my favorite challenge spots and found a snowman theme with the TicTacToe challenge this week, clapping, so fun.

For my first tag, I chose the diagonal from the top left: Snowman, winter holidays, and gold.

I have a gift for one of my shabby chic loving friends and wanted to create a tag that would coordinate, this challenge was just the jumpstart I needed.
I decided to use my Stamperia Pink Christmas papers along with various glittered papers and die-cuts to create my snowman.

I added gold glittered paper to the hat and buttons.

For my second tag, I chose the left row down: snowman, red, and green

On this tag, I used the Stamp Market Script Merry die,  the Happy + Merry dies and different shades of ink.

I cut glittered paper for the snowman base

This was a lot of fun and I am happy with the tags that will be adorning packages very soon!
Thank you for stopping by my little corner!
